Now retired, I finally have the head-space and time to write about the things that matter to me most: accepting ourselves, accepting each other and celebrating difference.
My books focus on the lives and achievements of people from many walks of life and from different times and places.

My first book, Bent Is Not Broken, is a non-fiction work about LGBT+ culture and history, mental health, and acceptance. Since publication in November 2023, it has won two awards:
Readers' Favorite 2024 International Book Awards: Gold Medal Winner
Queer Indie Book Award 2023: Winner, Best Non-Fiction
The second book, Women of Note, is a novel about a woman who discovers a collection of letters written by real historical women figures. The more letters Helena reads, the more she reflects on her own life and begins to see herself differently.
It is due to be published in Summer 2025.
